What is

Faith

To Me?

What is faith to me? God is my faith and faith comes from God. God gives it to us. We cannot buy it, share it, or make anyone have faith. The glossary defines faith as belief in and devotion to God.  Faith is a gift from God and not because we gain it, and are worth it, but you have to believe that God will show you the way. Trust that you can do all things through Jesus Christ that strengthen you. To have faith, you must have faith in God before you have faith in yourself. Trusting and Believing in God is Faith. Faith is a dream come true. The bible declares in Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I have faith in myself to succeed in all I set myself forward to do...Period!!!!  We must have faith to please God. Hebrews 11: 16 reads, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” It does not come from me, but it come from the Lord. I just thank God for giving me the gift of Faith. If you don’t have faith…ask God for it.  He gives us wisdom and knowledge. For example:

  • If a bully come around, I have faith that God will give me the words to say

  • When I broke my ankle and couldn’t praise dance for about four months….my faith in God keep me happy because I knew everything was going to be okay

  • When it is time to take a test and I studied really hard…... I have faith in God to give me the wisdom and knowledge to pass

Faith is when you believe you can do anything with the help of the Lord.

Then, you can do anything you put your mind too. He did not have to wake me up this morning. I could be dead right now, but I’m not. That is why I thank God every day for waking me up this day and every day. Always know that tomorrow is not promised. I just want to thank God for that and everything else he has done in my life. God gives us faith, grace, and mercy according to his plans for our life. God is Faith. That is what faith means to me.
