And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  ~Colossians 3:17

Christian Miss helps young women shine bright in this world by becoming

positive, bold, and uncompromising role models.  Our program is designed to help each participant discover the greatness that already lies inside of her and use it to change the world. Participants will:

  • Develop important life skills that will help them fulfill their life's purpose

  • Use their God-given abilities confidently before anyone.

  • Become a positive voice for their generation.

Christian Miss affords girls ages 4-24 the opportunity to develop and/or improve their public speaking, interview, presentation, and performance skills through a combination of workshops, on and off-stage competitions, and community service projects. We want to assist families that embrace, respect and appreciate Christian values-  families that want their girl(s) to participate in a program that will help them stand as morally sound leaders and role-models for their generation.  We promise pageantry without compromise.

Through our outreach program, Tiny Temples, Christian Miss spreads a message of wholeness- encouraging health of the mind, body, and soul. We know that developing healthy habits at a young age contribute to healthy living in one’s adult years. Therefore, we promote the importance of eating right, staying active and living well with an emphasis on increasingly growing as a Christian at all stages of life.

We believe education and encouragement can contribute to better awareness of common mental health challenges children face, improve the utilization of available resources, and increase the number of voices speaking out against mental health stigma.

Yvette Barnes

In 2011, Christian Miss was a small idea that eventually turned into an enormous dream had by its founder, Yvette Barnes.  An elementary school teacher for 14 years and current Children's Ministry team member at Freedom Church, Yvette brings with her a love for education, spiritual development, and helping young people reach and surpass goals. In 2013, she began directing the Inner Beauty Walk, an event consisting of confidence-boosting workshops that culminates with a pageant during which girls 3-14 are celebrated for being confident in who they are.  Witnessing the success of the Inner Beauty Walk, and watching each participant gain something from the experience motivated Yvette to start Christian Miss, LLC. Through Christian Miss' teachings on the truths found in Matthew 5:16  and Proverbs 18:16, Yvette hopes girls who participate will become better equipped to let their light shine by effectively using their gifts, talents,  and abilities before anyone.   She is excited to be a part of this journey to help girls stir up the gifts inside of them and, as a result, make a Godly impact on this world for years to come.
